Adopstar Teams Up with End2End – The Rugby Relay

Date Published:23 July 2024

At Adopstar we know that amazing things can happen when people come together for a great cause. That's why we didn't hesitate to lend our expertise in support of End2End - The Rugby Relay, an inspiring challenge led by the remarkable Lexi Chambers.

Who Is Lexi Chambers?

Lexi is an army veteran, ex-NHS nurse, and below-knee amputee who battles with Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), Fibromyalgia, and severe nerve issues. This has resulted in over 20 surgeries! However, despite these challenges, Lexi has broken numerous world records. In 2022, she broke the record for the fastest half and full marathons in a non-sport wheelchair, and raised £1600 for Blesma. In 2023, she set more records for the longest distance covered in 12 hours and for completing the Bath half marathon, raising a total of £3448 for the Aaron Lewis Foundation.

Lexi's story shows that with determination anyone can achieve greatness, regardless of their resources. She absolutely inspires others to push beyond their limits and boundaries.

Lexi's New Cause

For three years, Lexi has participated in endurance challenges to raise funds for local charities close to her heart. This August to October, she will be completing this challenge in support of the Aaron Lewis Foundation and The Exeter Chiefs Foundation.

Wheeling from John o’ Groats to Lands End, Lexi will travel 1,500 kilometres in 35 days, the equivalent of a marathon each day in her standard wheelchair. The challenge, a world’s first, showcases her resilience and determination, highlighting the power of the human spirit.

Lexi is also a passionate women's rugby fan and will undertake The Rugby Relay, visiting rugby clubs nationwide and passing a signed rugby ball from club to club. Her aim is to promote inclusivity and unity from rugby grassroots to professionals.

Adopstars Involvement

At Adopstar, we are proud to be a part of Lexi’s amazing journey. Our team has been hard at work designing the website, creating print and social media content, and managing community engagement for End2End – The Rugby Relay’s social media.
